Sunseeker 2290S A/C General Operation question

Bought a used motorhome, and have enjoyed it for about a year now. Always at a campground with electric hookups with no problems with the A/C.
Question is...
Is it possible to run the A/C off of the generator?
If so, I just can't seem to figure out how to get it going.
Like I said, the A/C runs fine when hooked up to power, but if I only run the generator, the A/C never kicks on?
is there some sort of process I need to do to get this to happen?

Help a fellow R/V newbie out please...LOL

Thank you in advance.

does the Generator provide power to everything else o.k.?

is the Generator's BREAKER on the generator itself tripped?

or, do you have to plug your Shore POwer cord into the Generator 'OUTLET' when running the generator? The outlet is usually in the same storage bay as the shore power cord, sometimes mounted on the sidewall, if you have this requirement.

Generator provides power to everything else fine. Seems as all the lights, etc. work while the generator is on.

I'm not even sure where that would be to check

This generator came with the R/V. It is not an external generator, if that makes sense?

sure, but DO YOU HAVE TO PLUG THE SHORE POWER CORD it into your Generator's OUTLET in order for the generator to provide power into the RV?

Many are designed that way....what's the age of your RV?

It should power the ac without you doing anything, does the microwave work with the generator running? There is a power relay that disconnects shore power and connects the generator to your fuse panel when it is running. If your microwave doesn't work on gen Iwould check the relay.

If the microwave does not operate with the generator running, remove the generator cover and double check the on/off switch virtually hidden by the oil fill-dipstick.
On the Onan it is easy to trip the on/off switch when servicing or even adding oil to the generator.

Sunseeker 2290S A/C General Operation question

Unplug shore power. This is optional as the battery control center should cut shore power automatically.
Start the generator
When generator is running smooth turn on the AC normally. By now you should have heard the microwave beep.
If this does not work, as others have stated, check the breaker on the genny and the 30amp breaker in the breaker panal. Remember to push the breaker off and than on.

Let us know what you find. We all learn.
