Sunseeker 3170 Slideout issue

We just made our first camping trip of the year and I had trouble with the large passenger side slideout. When I tried to extend it a couple times, one side sticks and the slideout gets "twisted" as it moves unevenly. It appears that one motor is under more torque than the other and it shuts down. I pulled it all the way back in, when we tried it again my son pushed slightly on the bunks to help it move freely. I also think that the bottom trim is dragging on the floor which may be creating this friction.

Has anyone had issues with their slideout on this model?

Is there a way to adjust the height so it doesn't drag on the floor?

Thanks

We have the 3100SS and (knock on wood) no issues with the slideout. I would say it is out of adjustment and needs to go back to a dealer for the fix.

Hi-
I looked here when I was adjusting mine. I think it's a Lippert. Hope this helps.

That is a different slide mechanism. The 3170 uses a Lippert slide, but it is the Schwintek.

That is the nature of the Schwintek In-Wall slide. If it is not tracking square, one motor will shut down and let the other one catch up.

Taking it to the dealer for an adjustment is an option as well. I have video's but most of those are installation and not adjustment.

Thanks for the reply guys, I think your comments are on track with a little more research that I have done. It seems to occur when I am using the coach batteries only. The Lippert manuals stress the importance of amperage to the motors and they may be causing significant demand on the battery. With a little push it completes the move (that operation was identified in the troubleshooting diagram) It doens't seem to occur when I am plugged into shore power.

Thanks again for all the info, those links were helpful.

Quick question do you get cable tv on the bedroom tv. I have a 2012 3170ds and bedroom tv works great with over air signal but not with cable.
