The One Control unit
I was wondering if anyone has tried using the Amazon Alexa echo in the Forester to the one control unit, would it work?

With the current One Control software/hardware it would not be possible. Custom software and hardware would need to be developed first to interface the two systems. Not impossible but also not off the self.

I like where your going with that thought, Turn on and off Lights with voice commands.

Not in the field. Currently, unless things have changed recently it must be done by Lippert.

The app that runs on your phone/tablet is occasionally updated.

Bummer. Being a technology guy I just KNOW there are tweaks and fixes that have been done ....

Yes there are.

I'm in the same technology boat, spent 35 years doing that kind of work. It hurts to not be able to move forward. Guess we have to look at it like the features in cars, what you get on day 1 is there on the last day.

I was able to get my panels replaced/upgraded last year with the newer software. Not sure that will happen again. But you can bet i'm going to try.

Actually that's one of the things I like about my F150 - the Sync softare on the head unit can be updated, and its Ford sanctioned.

That is true. My Lincoln has updated it's firmware 3 or 4 times. 1st time I couldn't figure out why a button was added. Then I realized it had updated the version #.
