This has really got me stumped...?

Okay, another question regarding my new Forester 3011DSF (front entertainment center).

Over the entry door is a radio (cd and dvd player). It has buttons for speakers "A" and "B" and "C"

Now for the question of the day. I know the A speakers are for the inside of the coach, the B speakers are for the outside speakers BUT where the heck are the C speakers.

If I put on the C speakers and crank the sound to level 40 (usually set on 10-12 for inside speakers) you can hear the radio. It sounds extremely muted. Almost sounds like it's coming from outside but if I go outside I can't hear anything. WOW this has really got me stumped?

Took it to the dealer today for 4 small warranty issues and they could hear it but didn't know where they were either but said they'd try and find out.

Just thought I'd ask here. Lots of good folks with great info.

Thanks

Have a 2016 Sunseeker 3010ds. C speaker is the subwoofer under the dinette seat.

I should say that I hate the subwoofer sound so I leave C off!

My last 2 Forest River products, C was always the outside speakers. Are you sure it isn't your outside speakers? Crank up that volume!!

In mine "C" is the subwoofer, which is located under the dinette seat. I removed the paneling beneath the cushion and adjusted the boost to a much lower level. It's now at a palatable level that really adds depth to the sound. Prior to the adjustment it was ridiculous.

My salesperson pointed to a lower cabinet in the entertainment center and said that is where my water filter would be located. Took the screwed on cabinet door off and there was the subwoofer speaker that I did not know I had. So maybe it does not work or inside the cabinet is the ideal place for it. Will have to check that one.
To the OPs original question, my "C" button is the outside speakers. I'm sure that is what you are hearing. I usually make sure the neighbors are not enjoying the same music or TV show I am by cracking the door for a sound check. Someone in a campsite told me a whopper about another camper who had left the outside speakers on while watching an adult DVD. Could make the kids next store ask some interesting questions I'm sure.

Much like others have said, the "C" switch controls the sub under the dinette. One of my "To-do's" is to remove it from under the dinette or mount it better and also to put a switch and some wiring in so that I can move it from inside to outside when I need to.

A is the inside speakers (plus in my SOB the Bedroom speakers)
B is the outside speakers
C has nothing to plug into YET. they will be portable speakers on the roof in boxes for when we go to the races.
