Tire pressure monitoring system

Has anybody added on tire pressure monitoring system to your coach? It seems like it's a good idea and I wonder why its not offered by Ford or Chevy on their trucks

It's a GVWR thing, Ford & Chevy DO offer it on trucks with a GVWR of less than 10,000 pounds.

For a motor home chasis, they most likely order very basic units without any bells and whistles. I can't speak for other makes, however Ford does have monitoring system available on the super dutys.

Look into adding a 507 system with flow thru sensors by TST...probably the most popular system. TST 507 Flow Thru -

Dave

I just purchased this one and plan to install it Saturday. Last week I had one piece metal valve stems put on in preparation.

Guys,
I have the Tire Minder system....got it at the super show in January, works Great - easy to read, setup, and monitor. It does cost a little more and you have to buy the extra sensors for a 5th wheel, but no big deal....Anyway just my two cents on TPMS

I've had my TST system for about a month and love it. Can't imagine having sensors that aren't flow-thru. What a pain that would be!
