Total Loss, that was the area I meant just before the bend into Faria. Do you have the DW grab the spot and you pull beyond and u-turn? Can't believe I am spending $35K mostly for going to Carpenteria and Ventura. No use for it in Yosemite. Death Valley would probably make me consider going to Baker rather than Olancha or up from Trona and over Towne Pass.

Although, for the 2018 model they will build them with the 707hp Hellcat motor! I don't even want to know the price tag on that.
Ya HAD to tell me Tim !!!!

Now...my Tigershark...seems...so...inadequate

I have never camped at Faria. Don't really know the lay of the land- I do know it's tight though. You could pull off at free Rincon day parking and unhook. That is where we stay for the day waiting for our site to open up in Ventura RV when we go there. Unload the bicycles and do a coast run while we wait. Then have lunch.
As far as the toad- for you, I would just have the wife drive up separately.
It's close and easy. No need to go through all the hookup stuff and have another vehicle just for local trips.
I use my Toyota for off roading and race chasing so I need it sometimes.
Me, I am downsizing my motorcycle to a smaller/lighter one so I can use it as a grocery getter when I don't need a toad.

[QUOTE=BamaBob;1450881]We went with the Cherokee Overland - a lot more comfortable than the "real" Jeeps, without loosing the "Real Jeep" 4WD
