Tv reception booster

Can anyone please give me an idea how to get more TV station on my RV? I was told that with satellite in my 3051S we should not have problem getting tv reception. I had let do the auto scan on air mode so far only 4 weak channel is available. Do I need to bu6 a booster?

Depending on where you are and how far from the tv transmission towers, you may or may not get good reception. Some places you won't get anything at all. Tall hills and mountains and lots of trees will block the signals. To get satellite service you need to have a dish and receiver.

If you are using the antenna on the roof you have to turn on the switch next to where your antenna lead goes to the tv. You should have a red or green LED that lets you know that it is on.

As Scrapper said, where you are relative to the broadcast towers is key wrt over-the-air reception. Also, as he also said, having the antenna booster "on" (tiny button pushed so that tiny LED is lit) is necessary.
I find I often need to rotate the antenna and re-search for channels (tv set for antenna, not cable) several times to find the optimum antenna direction. I usually start by running a channel scan every 90 degrees. I then try 45 degrees each side of the direction that gives the most channels, then 22.5 degrees either side of the best direction. Using this technique I have gone from zero channels (on the first scan) to ten or more channels.
I understand from postings on this forum there is a signal strength meter available that avoids the multi-scan approach I use. Not familiar with it or its use.

One of the things that has helped me tune in the TV is the Android cell phone app DTV Antennas. it shows you the direction, and distance, to HD stations in your area. There are several apps available but I'm quite happy with it.

DTV Antennas and the My Radar app, for tracking storms, are my two of my favorite apps to use with our motor home.

I have had the wineguard batwing antenna on several rigs and have always added the wineguard wingman to improve reception with great results. If you have a batwing antenna you might try that.

There are several of my favorite campsites that have little or no reception, one is not far from Atlanta but the terrain blocks the signals. Digital reception is line of sight (just like FM radio) and you either get it or you don't, analog reception not as bad and you may get a fuzzy signal when it is weak but digital you get nothing. Very few stations broadcast analog signals, analog is used in cable quite often.

If you have an omnidirectional antenna it will receive poorly from any direction.

and the photo of a booster outlet in post 2 shows 2 connections. I think
it's confusing to many.
The connection point that says cable/sat is merely the other end of your
outside connection. This is where you would connect your campground
cable wire if available. You leave the little button OUT/OFF for that.

IF you're using the roof antenna then you connect to the TV connection and
push the little button IN/ON.

So you have to switch the wire going to the TV depending on whether you're
using the campground cable or your own satellite receiver VS the roof antenna.
Confusing aint it???

I also agree with the poster who said the omni-directional antennas aren't so hot.
When we camp in the boonies if we're on the high ground it's not unusual for us to pick up TV stations 40+ miles away as the crow flies. We also added the winegard wingman booster. The only caution I can give about the wingman is to check to see that you have clearance on the roof when the antenna is lowered. My previous rig was next to the roof AC unit and I could not leave the wingman on there when the antenna was lowered.
And we also use the DTE antenna's app to help tell us which way to point the antenna.

As some have pointed out...is the OP using an Antenna...which needs to be pointed to wherever the towers are, or is he using the actual Satellite...which needs to set to a particular "Fixed" point in the sky ?
