Used 3011DS Bigfoot Question

Hello all!

I am looking at used 2014-15 3011DS Forrester models of which some do not currently have the Bigfoot option installed. Whatever vehicle I purchase I would like to have these even if I have to install them as an add on. If it comes down to that, how difficult is it to add these onto to a vehicle post purchase? The dealer of one unit that I am looking at indicated that the brackets for the Bigfoot are already pre-installed which would certainly make it an easier task. Is it safe to assume that is the case for all 3011DS's units that do not have this as a factory installed option?

Thanks

I also was looking for a used motorhome a couple years old. I ended up buying a new one because it was only a few thousand dollars more and I got exactly what I wanted.

VW,

I have only been looking for a few months but that is what I am also seeing. The cost of 2yr old units with minimal miles is not much less than what I can get when ordering new, and to your point, you can get a new one equipped the way you like. Not sure why this is the case yet. Are the owners of used models underwater and just trying t minimize their loss by keeping the cost higher? Or is the the demand high for these models or the depreciation minimal compared to other models? Possibly all of the above....
