Water Pump Problem

We have a 2014 FR Forester 2701DS. Have had no problems at all until today. Getting ready for a trip tomorrow. Water pump comes on and goes off every 5 seconds or so. Water tank was empty by the time we got home on our last trip. Filled the tank yesterday, and the problem started today. Cannot find any leaks including the toilet. ANY IDEAS AS TO WHAT THE PROBLEM IS? Thanks in advance.

Open ALL the faucets and make sure there is no air in the lines. Don't forget outside shower or kitchen if you have those. Air can cause the pump to cycle.

Sounds like air in the lines as SecretSquirrel mentioned. One thing I do is connect a water source to the City Water connection. Feed water into City water and open faucets one at a time. This will purge air out of the lines. Also open the pressure relief valve near the top of the hot water tank to purge air out of the tank.

Hope this helps

Could be a leak somewhere, empty fresh water tank or a check valve at the pump. That's all I can think of.
