What TPMS are you using on your "Gumps"?

Got our new to us 2016 3051s couple months ago and I'm in the process of doing some upgrades. Looked at EEZtire and tireminder Tm77 along with others but would like to hear from someone who's actually running them. Just not sure if I want the flow through, anti theft, etc. Thanks!

I use the EEZtire and it has been flawless for over 2 years.

I'm using the TST 507 with flow thru sensors. A few things to watch for with any TPMS:

1. The plastic rear valve stem extenders FR used on our GTS were junk to put it politely. I couldn't even add air to a low tire thru them. And you cannot use a valve mount sensor on them. I highly recommend going with a set of one piece stainless steel valve stems from Duallyvalves. We have a E-450 chassis so I used the DL1FCR kit shown Here. When I called to place my order I had the front stems upgraded to a stem with a bend for easier access.

2. If you have the "wheel simulators", as in the big stainless hub caps, you may need to notch them to use any sensor. You will definitely need to notch them to clear the anti-theft devices on the TST non-flow thru sensors. The anti-theft devices can be removed which is what I would do if I had it to do over. I remove the sensors while in the storage lot anyway...

3. I started off with "regular" non-flow thru sensors. Having to remove them to add air to the tires was a PITA. Last year at the FROG Rally I upgraded to flow thru sensors and I'm a lot happier. This is really a personal preference issue, both types work...

4. With the TST you want to change the sensor batteries annually, as in each spring for me. If not you can get some really weird readings as the battery runs down...

Hope this helps...

TST 507 for me, been using it 3 years now. I'd echo what RedLdr1 has posted; similar problems with clearance and similar solutions. I'm not crazy about how far the sensors stick out, especially on the front tires. I haven't changed out the batteries yet, even though they are supposed to only last 2 years. I've had a couple of the sensors that are 'flow-thru' not allow air through, and have replaced them at my cost.

I'd prefer a better sensor, but have no issues with the TST readout on the dash. I think a sensor that doubles as the tire stem would be much better.

TST 507 flow-thru for me. What a great piece of mine to just look at the readout. The plastic FR valve extension failed on mine too but prior to adding TST. Replaced it with metal valve extension and no problem since. Clearance is tight but no problem on my Ford Forester.

I've used EEZTire for 3 years and it's worked very well. I use the anti-theft sensors. However, I unscrewed the outer anti-theft housing and just use the inner sensor by itself. Then you don't have to use the special tool to get them on and off. I haven't had one go missing yet.

Tire Traker lifetime warranty. Use regular sensor with replaceable batteries. Do not use anti theft device.

I use the Tire Minder non flow through sensors. Unscrew the sensor just like you would unscrew a valve cap to add air. I don't use the anti-theft lock nuts. No issue so far of theft. Very easy to program each sensor to the tire.
