VWexpert, those things can be fixed. That extra long thing on the sofa arm is for the dinette bed. The backs to the dinette we originally saw at the dealer had half fabric and half leatherette. Ours are all fabric, no wrinkles. Is the sofa bottom a different color or is it the lighting. Hope this isn't a deal killer!

The 3 issues are;
Wrong color upper cushions
Wrinkles on upper cushions
No side valance - has new pull down vinyl black out shades.
Since there are no strings on the side - no side valance needed (as per rep)
Rep said that is the way they are making them now,
I said that isn't what I (my wife) ordered.
...and we all know when the wife isn't happy...

That's quite a difference.
- Floor, what color is that now?
- Side valences are not on windows now.
- Back cushions on U-seat no longer match valances now but are same as seats
- is that an extra cushion on the arm of the couch?
- anything else?

That is supposed to be the Mink color scheme correct? Overall its a bit darker with the flooring now. Is that for the better or not? Very interested in the opinions here because this is the one area where my wife provided input and I do not want to be accused of changing it because it did not match what I liked,

What's wrong with this picture on bottom

The design rule at the factories at the moment seems to be build 'em darker. Floors, cupboards, appliances - make the color dark and wherever possible make it look like we tore down a barn to build it. Mine came darker than I wanted and with the barn wood floor, but fortunately everyone who's been in it likes it, except me.

That brings up an interesting point. We ordered ours with Maple cabinets because the wife though the cherry was too dark. In fact only 2 out of many Forest River RV's we looked at in the show had maple. Now I'm wondering what it will actually look like when it gets delivered?

It will be the same Maple you saw at the show. It's much lighter than the Cherry.

The valances will no longer come with legs (Side Valances) because of the roller shades. Going into Fall we had some changes and those are all part of those changes.

Thanks Josh. That makes sense about the side valances. Is the floor still the same? Also, what is the standard now for the U-Table? Does it now come all one color? And if so, what does it match? Couch or valances?

Josh...IMHO taking away the side valance makes the coach look cheap and cheezy. I know they were used to hide the strings - but it also gave the coach a richer looking interior. Maybe they could be an option.
The cushions look like Stevie Wonder did the sewing. Worst upholstery I have ever seen. Either no wrinkles or an even wave of wrinkles. This is very unpleasant to look at.

  • The floor is still the same
  • Both Dinettes the U and booth from now will be all leather. It's paired with the valance but matches the front Ultra leather seats, the couch, or theatre seating.

Joshua, which Bigfoot leveler do they use, Platinum or fully auto?
Let's hope VWexpert's PDI goes well today!

Enjoying our second trip, this time it's San Diego.

Joshua: Do all the Forester models now come with the roller shades? Also any update on the progress of getting the 3051S with the recliners in place of sofa?
Thanks

My wife would have issue with the vinyl on the dinette back cushions being stretched diagonally but I think it looks fine. Can't see anything beyond that.

Joshua, would my 2016 on a 2015 chassis have come with the solar prep or is that a very new add on? I don't see anything for it, but then I don't know what to look for. Is there a connector by the door to plug into on the new ones?? I do see an extra positive cable going to the batteries. The positive has the one from the other battery to make it in parallel and 2 more going out the hole. One is going to the converter charger and I thought the other is going to the generator. But could that be for solar?

If you're set up for solar you will see it on the rear side of the coach door. It says zamp solar panels on a green sticker.

Thanks Joshua. No I don't have the Zamp there. My solar is Renogy 100watt suitcase and I just ran 10 awg off the batteries to an Anderson quick connect which is tie wrapped to cables for now but will be permanently mounted in front of the passengers side rear wheel well. I believe Zamp has there own type of connectors for their speciifc panel.

Joshua,
Are all of these standard, with the exception of the optional dinette ?

Do you have a picture of the new graphics and what does the "new bedding" consist of ?
Thanks
