Who's the Slide out manufacturer?
I have 2 slide outs on the Forester 2701DS. I know my bed slide out is a Schwintek and the controller is under the bed by the Power fuse and switch panel. But who makes the dinette slide out? Can't find anything other than the bolt and cotter pin in the compartment below. Would like the model number also.

It is a Lippert slide the actuall part name is called the "Dual above floor slide"
If you ever have to manually retract your slide you need to pull that pin and take a wrench or ratchet to that bolt and begin to rotate it.

Thanks Joshua, I was able to go online and download the manual for both slides. I was a able to download the thermostat manual for AC yesterday. It was 105 degrees inside and couldn't get the air to work. Read the code and did a Google search. Found the thermostat error code E-2 meant the thermostat was beyond range and cooled it down. Good thing I was in my driveway and not boon docking away from internet service.
Can you tell me the model of the Dometic 15000 A/C with heat pump? I'd like to download that also.
Thanks again

Sage, did your coach come with a big folder with documentation for all the accessories in the coach - as in a/c, heater, levelers, radio, tv antennae, stove, oven, etc. All my past coaches came with a big folder with docs about installation and operation of everything in the coach.

VWExpert, mine came in a clear plastic bag with most of the same literature I got with my Winnebago which came in a nice fabric brief case.. Missing were anything on AC-heat pump, furnace and thermostat, refrigerator, slide outs, Maxxfan, Air bags, Batteries and warranty. I was able to get most manuals online. I put everything in an expandable file folder and labeled for quick reference. Also made a quick list of important phone numbers like roadside service (Coach-net, Ford and Progressive Insurance ALL FREE), manufacturer tech support numbers for all the important products on board with model numbers and S/N.

Where does it say to pull that pin to wrench the slide in? Will it cause damage if you don't.
Slide has since been repaired but I had to wrench mine in 3 times but was never told to pull pin. Is there a manual that covers this? What should I look for ?
Thanks !

Our Sunseeker 3100 has a Lippert slide. I tried to wrench it out manually just to see how hard it would be and so I could figure out what tools I needed. To my surprise it was very easy. It just took wrist action with a 3/8 ratchet.

I don't remember the socket size. It was in my basic 3/8 socket set, so it wasn't bigger than 3/4 inch. As I recall I did remove the pin. I think the pin connects the electric drive with the gear mechanism, but I can't swear that is correct. I'll check the next time I have it at home.

Josh, what does the pin do? I see someone has retracted theirs without removing the pin. Thx, Ben

The manual doesn't say what it does but it does show them not taking it out while retracting it with a 5/8 wrench.

Question for Joshua on above floor slide out
Joshua, is there a manual override switch that must be pressed while turning the manual override nut? Or do you disconnect the battery and use the ratchet.
The above floor slide out for my dinette sticks out 2" more at the bottom than the top when extended. The dealer said it's OK and supposed to be like that. But when I just looked a photo I had taken back in June of the same model the dealer had in stock, it looks perfectly squared. Mine doesn't look right. The awning doesn't seem overly tight to cause this.

By design the slide pushes out a little farther at the bottom than it does the top.

Hey Joshua, if you look at my photos of the dealers and my Forester, Mine has different overhead clearance lights. I have little button shaped instead of the larger orange. Is this a new upgrade to avoid the leakage problem? Are these LEDs?

The front clearance lights on yours and mine are LED. A few months ago Brian posted they had to switch from the larger incandescent due to a long shoreman strike.
