Made my own for a fraction of the cost. The HEM (and my own) will keep the light out and reflect some heat but if you are in high temps and direct sun it is not enough. You still need an insulated “curtain” to keep the cab heat out of the cabin.
Also, the HEM sunshade has nothing to do with coach model year or number. It’s the Cutaway chassis that determines fitment.

The best way to keep your rig cooler is to block the heat before it gets in... The ADCO Model 2407 fits all Ford E-Series windshields from 1996 to 2018. I've used ADCO windshield covers for years and they reduce the heat, and light, much better than interior shades.

Even with the ADCO I still use a set of HEM interior covers to provide insulation and sound reduction. Together they make the cab area much more comfortable....

Out side is best to keep heat out. That sun shinning on the glass directly puts a lot of unnecessary heat inside. I use a heavy white one from Classic for the last 6 years.

bought a truck size accordion type for trucks for a few dollars at department store. Also bought from Home Depot, for about 15 dollars, a roll of reflectix and cut my side window shades. There was enough in the roll to make shades for all the windows on the sunny side of the MH for when it sits at home next to the garage.

Another white adco one here. Works great and does keep heat out as well.

Just keep the wipers up when on so they don’t leave marks. Need to cut some pool noodles for those......

For the class a, they make nice mirror and wiper covers. Does a good job keeping them nice. I use them on my SunSeeker any time its parked, same as tire covers.

Have a set of interior shields from a company, HeatShield. Blocks sun and keeps cab interior much cooler.
Had an Adco exterior shield for a few years. Works well, but, hated it everytime I had to remove it while standing in rain, getting ready to leave. When it's wet, and you gotta hit the road, it's a mess.
I can remove the interior shields in seconds, and roll them up, and stay dry the entire time.

I use both.... Adco white cover on the outside and my own homemade (reflectix) shade on the inside. I'm not taking any chances. [emoji6]

Was just in Vegas, 106 degrees. I blacked out all roof vents, have the white window cover and was able to keep my RV down to about 80 degrees which was comfortable. We also have a few fans that help. During peak heat times we bring the slides in to reduce the square footage the AC needs to keep cool.

We have a full cover for our rig when in storage. I like the interior one while camping, because when it rains or blows dirt everywhere, we don't have to worry about taking it off all wet and dirty. Also, the interior ones roll up super tight and fit perfectly behind drivers seat. We have no issues with light coming through. We are in Calif where temps are above 100. No issues with heat so far. The one I bought has suction cups that keep the covers tight on the window and they fit perfectly. So no peeking from light.

We just bought a roll of reflectix at Home Depot and cut to fit our windshield and windows from inside. Blocks heat and totally blocks all light so at night nobody can see in like they can with the factory curtain. If you do it right and there’s no gaps, nobody can even tell anyone’s in the RV at night with lights on. Easy to put up and remove. We take it off during the day when we want more light and cover all the windows with reflectix at night for privacy and to retain heat.
