Winterizing 3010ds

Hello
I just returned (to NY) from a trip to Florida. Started to winterize the unit again. Drained low point, emptied water heater, set the bypass for the water heater, removed the filter, got the hose to pump the antifreeze through the system, turned on the water pump and it went on but no suction. I tried everything. I missing something? Any help is appreciated. (When I winterized it in November all worked well with no issues including pumping antifreeze through system using water pump)

I know your trying to winterize you unit but have you tried putting some water in your holding tank and seeing if the pump cycles that water??

Any holes in the pickup hose from the antifreeze may cause issues too..

I all else fails i would suggest you blow all of the lines out with the air connection. and winterize that way. I know its a little more tedious however better to be safe them sorry.

Thanks shredder. I ended up blowing the lines out then dumping antifreeze down all the drains and traps and down the toilet.

The water pump won’t displace air with water unless you crack open a tap, then it should pump like crazy

I called forest river and they said the pump sounded like it was seized up. They sent me a new one to replace it. That’s my next project!
