2 Weeks on the Oregon Coast

We spent two fantastic rejuvenating weeks at South Beach State Park this past August. We took a few days to get there, spending a night at Pacific City along the way. We have either ridden, camped, or rented a house on the coast about 7 times in the past 12 years the Wife and I have been together. I'm not sure there is another spot in North America I'd rather spend my vacation time at. Part of the reason we continue to return is the dog-friendly nature of the coast. Dogs can run free on the beach (like they were intended to do), many business' have dog water bowls, and are dog-friendly, and we ran into numerous pubs and restaurants that allow your pooch on their patio.

Cookin' hot dogs on the beach (with a fire ban in place at home for the entire summer, this was a real treat)

Wonderful shots; thanks so much for sharing! Nice to see a dog enjoying itself without a lead.

We did 10 days at south beach state park in July. I'd forgotten how some of their RV sites are jammed in there pretty close together. We had a blast, but I'd welcome a recommendation for a park a little more spacious

We're full timers from central Texas, and we had the wonderful pleasure of park hosting a private park in Gold Beach,,,,,Turtle Rock RV Resort just south of Gold Beach. Our favorite of favorite states. We've been to 25 states, and the Oregon coast is tops in our book. Kachina, who owns Turtle Rock is a wonderful lady to work for and to know. If you're in that area and want a place to rest for the night, that's it. You're right next to Highway 101 and the ocean is right next to the park.
