We leave home for the Oregon Coast this Friday afternoon. It is becoming an annual pilgrimage for us, it seems. By the time it rolls around, we will be looking for some relief from the constant onslaught of heat we get here in the Okanagan every summer. We happliy depart what most folks in Canada consider their summer vacation paradise (we live in Penticton, BC) for the cool temps, friendly folks, and mile upon mile of dog-friendly beaches around Newport, Oregon.

South Beach State Park here we come.

Hopefully it's nice down there for you! It's supposed to be hot here in the Willamette Valley this weekend. Unfortunately that usually means fog and lots of wind at the coast.
