Phenom,

Are you retired military by chance?

Fort Tuthill is just south of Flagstaff. It is an AFB campground. There is also Tuthill State park which has camping spots. All off of I-17 but no where close to the highway. Easy access to Flagstaff and surrounding area. Worth a look.

Jacobs Lake and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon are great places. Page and the Waheap country gets crazy on the weekends.

You are talking about one of the best camping areas in America. National Parks, Forest Service, BLM, State Parks, Private Parks, boondocking. There are probably more places to camp in the 4 corners area than there are people living there.
