Do you remember the name of the place as we are heading that way the end of March?

I just called- it's $179 week. Cash or check- no plastic.
Still a pretty good rate!
They are in my book for next year.
Very nice lady answered the phone
Thanks for the recommendation.

We are heading out around Mar. 14/15. We will land in Port Angeles and drive the 101 and cut across at Redding. Then on to Vegas for some visiting, then on to AZ for at least 3 weeks.
Keep us posted on campgrounds.

Arizona has been having the weather you folks in the south east WISH
you were having!! Actually they've had weather that a lot of us wish
we were having this winter.
February Trailer Life mag has a nice article on the Lost Dutchman State
Park. 40 mi east of Phoenix, AZ.
It's a small camp ground but that fits our taste to a T.
We love hiking and exploring out in the "boonies" and this area sure
qualifies.
Anyone been there??
Comments??
Smaller campgrounds with hiking opportunities nearby are our favorite
but we're certainly reading this entire thread and taking notes!

We've been to and enjoyed Lost Dutchman.
Don't overlook the Maricopa County Parks around Phoenix - We camp-hosted at Usery Mountain Regional Park outside of Mesa (and 40 mins or so from Lost Dutchman). After 39 states and 100s of campgrounds I'd put Usery in the top 10 most beautiful parks - it looks like a cactus company landscaped it. $25/night for water and electric, big gravel sites, back-ins are nicer than the pull-throughs, great mountain biking and hiking, lots of Ranger programs, and great birdwatching.
