Bad trip for our travel partners

Traveling west on Oregon 58 our travel partners met with disaster. A car headed east drifted into their lane on a tight curve. Hit their quarter panel. Took our their rear axle then flipped their 5th wheel on its side. They are OK and have headed home. The east bound driver needed to be cut from her wreckage and helicoptered to Bend Ore.
Now on a solo trip. Not near as much fun

Make phone calls to check on your friends, they need to know that you care and you need to know that they are fine ~ mentally as well as physically.

Sorry to hear about the accident, but glad to hear things aren't any worse.

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear. We just came out of Bend/Sunriver yesterday and drove to Lincoln City, OR by taking rt 58.

I know over the weekend, we were floating the Little Deschutes River and saw a helicopter fly to the fire department's helipad. Friends explained that they'll use that in order to pickup/drop off people from accidents.

Glad your friends are okay, for sure.

Photo certainly makes argument for not riding in the 5'er / TT ...

There is some strange irony in the second picture, a bag of snack food called "Love Crunch."

I'm so sorry to hear about your friends accident. It's got to make it a bit more nerve wracking for you. Are you headed to Alaska?

I agree ~ prime example why NOT to ride in any tt, no matter what size it is.

Enough of that though ~ How are your friends doing? The tv didn't look all that good either, but hopefully they made it home safely.

Hope everyone's nerves have calmed down a bit and things are a bit better.

Good that everyone is ok and was able to make it back home. That's the last thing you want to see on vacation.

Be sure to check in on them. After the adrenaline drains, they may be in physical pain as well. I am sure you were shook up as well.

Was the at fault driver playing on her phone?

Blessings to the travelers

I'm SO VERY glad to hear they are okay - WOW. Seeing accidents like that always makes me wonder why the TV was not also turned over? But must have been the Guardian Angel that kept that from happening.

God Bless them
Debbie
