That pea shooter on your hip won’t do you much good against a grizzly. You’d be better off with a canister of bear spray and an air horn. Just saying.

With that thing, better aim for BOTH eyes..........and be a deadly and fast shot. The guys that have "Ain't Skeered" stickers on the back windows of their trucks haven't ever even seen a Grizzly Bear.

You could just kneecap your partner with the small caliber handgun and run.

Other than a pic of a grizzly on the sign, it has nothing to do with bears:

I know that I'm dying to know what it is, I blew up the pic and couldn't tell.
I have a glock 10mm and a sw 44 mag but I wouldn't count on either against a grizzly, although I'd rather have either on me than just a stick.

It is a Glock 21 460 Rowland. And yes it is better than a stick. It does not make me feel completely safe.

It isn't the grizz who'll do the most damage to you: it's the federal charges they'll nail you with later that'll hurt the most. Assuming you survive the bear that is....

To an adult grizzly, anything less than a .44 Mag with a heavy grain bullet designed for hunting and deep penetration is a pea shooter. Although no longer made I carry a .44 mag with COR BON 320 gr flat point penetrator bullets. I think the current 320 gr hunter bullet by COR BON is probably as good or better.

I seriously doubt the government will prosecute someone who shoots an attacking bear.

Yep, you can kill any endangered/protected species that is attacking a human. That's how Mexican gray wolves meet their demise around here. Amazing how many ranchers get attacked
