Best route to Lake Havasu from Vancouver?

Hi all. We will be heading for Lake Havasu from Vancouver in early December. Past years we have gone down I5 and 99 to Bakersfield and across. This year I was thinking about trying highway 90 through Snoqualmie pass and through Idaho and Nevada. I have concerns about Snoqualmie that time of year and any other passes I may encounter going this way.

Anyone have any experience going this way?

I'd use your old route for coming south in December. I-5 and 99 to Bakersfield.
I feel you will have a lot less chance of snow and ice as soon as you hit the California border.
