Let's just say that I don't get out much. To be honest I haven't heard of San Benito before - where is it located close to?

Well as I have said don't know the area or the parks. Let have some more input on where we should do this. We have the offer of a supper host at Thousand Trails. If you know a better location and can hook up a large group I speak for the group in saying, "show me what ya got".

i would suggest something right in an area to do things, like Pismo. there's a couple of well-liked places, Pismo Coast Village and Pismo Sands.
there's Morro Bay SP and Morro Dunes SB.

there's San Simeon SP, near Hearst Castle and just north of Morro Bay.

i'm trying to suggest places in Central Cali.

Or Cambria...I miss Cambria! Depending on how far south you go (anything south of SF, is southern CA in book ). I can't say 100% but we would try for the coast. But Afox, I kind of like Burney...that's only an hour away me.

I agree with others this rally is drifting too far south. I would vote no more than 2 hours south of San Fran. there's a whole lot of beauty north of SF as well.

this place is pretty nice. close to santa cruz/monterey. But I am still not opposed to San Benito.

Activities, attractions and events for the Santa Cruz North / Costanoa KOA RV Park in California

They Santa Cruz location looks great. I've not yet been there and have been wanting to go. Should work well for those who need something other than our good company to attract them. Do you know how many sites they have? I would expect we would need to commit earlier at this location. How many days are we planning this for?

Santa Cruz and Monterey are really nice, have lots to do and see in the area. The KOA north of Santa Cruz is large enough and is nice but is about 18 miles from anywhere and has few trees but is close to the Pacific. Felton has a couple of private RV parks in the redwoods with FHUs which are awesome but might be on the small side for this. I suggest the super host is the best option.

I'm game for whatever the decision. I just dont like the idea of towing through San Francisco. Never have, never wanted to, never had any reason to. But, like they say, just face your fears head on , well maybe head on is not the best phrase .

California Rally

Hi all. I just started a new thread for our California Rally. Take a look and speak up. I've never done this before so if my idea sucks please feel free to tell me. I'll be happy to pass you the baton.
