California Frogs

So I am completely copying RodeoGeorge's thread "Arizona Frogs" but thought it was a pretty cool idea.

Thought I'd toss it out there and see who bites....

Who is from California and what part of the State?

San Joaquin Valley, CA where the spring and fall temps are 98 degrees, summer temps are 100+. One of these days we will leave California.

Southern California. About an hour away from the beach, mountains or desert.

I'm in Arizona but never missed a chance to go to California.
We have camped from Lake Almanore north of Sacramento and Marysville all the way south to the Mexico border.

Name a place and time and if it fits my calander we will be there.

Palmdale, CA, but moving to Idaho ASAP! Retired, and can't afford this weird place anymore.

San Marcos, used to live in Turlock (Hello Hughson). We too are thinking of leaving the state after being here 67 years. Sigh.

Yuba City - just a bit north west of Sacramento. Though we are heading out next week to look for land in Nevada. I'm a native but the taxes are silly and the state is on the road to disaster.

Ukiah-Ca. Like some of the others we to have been looking at other States. Beautiful State just to expensive and restrictive.
