California to Kentucky Cross Country

We're heading from California to Kentucky next week and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of where to stay west of Las Vegas around Nipton for 1 night.
From there heading to Zion, Grand Canyon, down to Tombstone then picking up some of Route 66.
Thanks for any recommendations!

Make sure you get Passport America, we use it extensively. We stayed at Root 66 next to the petrified forest, It got bad ratings, but we enjoyed it. Went to Cadillac Ranch, kind of neat. Stay away from Tucamari, It was a dump, don't stay at the motel there, one of the worst places we stayed. We camped at the campgrounds near Arches, Canyonland, and Zion. Great campgrounds, They were National campgrounds. Great trip and enjoy.
BTW, you can sign up for Passport America on line and print out their card. You can download the app to your phone. Some of the campgrounds are really bad, but go to parkreviews before going to them. Also read the details for PA and make sure you meet the requirements for the discount. Some Sunday thru Thursday only etc.

This year, planning on 6 months in our Evergreen visiting, California, Michigan, and Ohio. We live in Florida. Grandkids, and dogs are why we camp. Also have a Hensley Hitch which that eliminates all sway. Pricey, but worth it.

There is an RV Park in St David, AZ which is about 20 miles before Tombstone. Reviews are a little iffy but seem pretty popular.

If you have a Toad this part of Arizona makes for a good day trip into Tombstone and Bisbee. FYI my GG Grandfathers cousin C.S. Fly had a Photo shop in Tombstone back in the old days.
