Campgrounds near Disneyland

Here we are enjoying the sun in Arizona but would like to go to Disneyland. Any recomendations for an RV park near Disneyland?? We will be there about April 20 and staying for a week.

Either check out the Anaheim listing in the Good Sam Campground Guide, or go on the Good Sam website and search for listings in Anaheim. It gives you several choices, I prefer the Anaheim Resort RV Park, because of its location. Right across the street from Disneyland. Close to Knott's Berry Farm and other SOCAL sites. Newport Dunes is VERY expensive, and close together, but it is on the Newport Back Bay, and a little further away.

Anaheim resort rv park. Its the best choice as far as I'm concerned. "Across the street" from Disneyland makes it sound as though you can easily walk there. This is not the case. To walk to Disney would take about 25 minutes. You have to walk down quite a ways to cut under the I-5 and then make your way back. They do have a shuttle that runs right from the park though. You can also view the fireworks right from your RV spot.

FYI: Anaheim RV Village at 333 W Ball Road closed a couple of months ago. That only leaves two in the immediate D-Land area: Anaheim Resort and Anaheim Harbor (I think that's the name).

Seatosea, where did you end up staying for Disneyland? We are headed there in two weeks. Never been to Disneyland or California so it's all new to me.

Bobby, we stayed at the Anaheim RV Resort. A little pricey but close to the park by shuttle. Shuttle was $5 for adults and $2 for seniors, this was good for all day. The RV park was nice but very noisy as backs onto I5.

Thanks Ray! I was assuming the shuttle was free. The shuttle is still cheaper than parking at Disneyland.

We are doing a loop from Texas to Arizona then to California, up to Yosimite then on to Utah and Bryson then back down to Arizona to head back home. All in 2-1/2 weeks. One of those trips of a lifetime!

Actually, it's in Anaheim. Nice park where one can pick oranges and lemons right off the trees (encouraged by owners) at ones site. Can't get fresher than that. Short drive to Disney.

Orangeland RV Park is in the city of Orange. It is on Katella Ave, east of the 57 freeway and the Honda Center, about 3 miles from D-Land. It is on a quiet location. The Disney area shuttle does not run out that far, so you would probably have to pay for parking at D-Land.

We ended up making reservations at Anaheim RV Resort. The cost about equaled out by the time you factor in the varying costs.
I did like Orangeland's, looks to be a good relaxing place but we will only be in Anaheim for just a couple days.

I stayed at Anaheim Rv resort it was pretty nice but some really tight spots there too

Must be. When we called to make or reservation they asked a lot of particulars on our coach; how many slides, how far did they extend, exact length of the coach.

I just have a reservation, they didn't offer a particular site. Maybe ilk try that when I get there.
