Camping in Yosemite with 35' toyhauler

Is this even possible? I plan to go MOL straight to Inyo County (Independence) and see where my grandmother was born and spend maybe a week there. This is a long drive around the Sierras to Yosemite, but being that close I have to see it. I also have tent gear that I could make use of. I'm also looking at Joshua Tree in the south and then on to north CA.
Thanks for your input.
WW

There are only a handful of sites, in the Park, big enough for that size trailer.

That's kind of what I figured... Wonder if there is any public lands near there?

I was just about to start the exact same thread when I found yours. Looking at the three campgrounds in the valley, lower pines looks like the best for that size. Spots 36 & 38 both have a max length of 40 ft. There are a few others but those look to be the best. If you go to recreation.gov and click on a site there is a picture of the site. Those two have great views too. We have stayed in both upper and lower pines with our former 26 ft tt. Now we have a 37 ft 5er and will be heading up there in the fall for the first time with the new RV. Jerry

Thanks Jerry. When I checked availability reserved until around end of Sept. I'll he back home by then. What I'm doing is as I enter the region, I will stay a day or so at China Lake NAWS... then, up to Alabama Hills (boom docking)... Then around to an Escapee park in Coarsegold CA. Day trips into the park and maybe I'll try one or two nights in a tent if I can get a walkup. I'm more interested in motorcycling the area. In going to Hope Valley next over near Tahoe. I bought three books about free or small fee camping and need to take the time to study them. No idea about where to stay in N CA.... After CA I'm heading up to OR
