Near Boerne about 40 miles south there is a Bandera, TX and there is a Pioneer RV resort. Lloyd and Linda are great host and take good care of it's folks. Depending on what days you are in 11st Cowboy Bar has bring your own steaks and for $6 dollars you get a salad and baked potato with all the fixins. Live music, cold beer and/or wine. If liquor is your fancy you can bring your own since they don't sell the hard stuff. Near Boerne you need to drive on to Luckenbach and just relax.
Fredericksburg has some nice campground and I especially like Lady Bird Johnson park. they have an rv park nestled right next to the airport that has a very nice diner. Fred's also has some of the best shopping around.
From Beorne you have to make your way to Alamo Springs off of Old San Antonio road. They have Alamo Springs café and has the best hamburger around.
