Just a heads up for being at Colter Bay that time of year. Colter Bay itself may be a dry lake bed during your stay. Seems the down river potato farmers have water rights and opening Jackson Lake dam is the way they get the water as mandated when Jackson Lake was created. Was there one year and the lake was just another stretch of the Snake river. I'm pretty sure this annual event still exists. Was last there late July, 2013. Other than that Grand Tetons and all of Jackson Hole are beautiful.

Excellent park! Stayed 3 days last September on a 65 day western trip.


We would rank it in the top 5 of the 20+ parks we used.
