I am heading out to Cal. from N.J. on Rt 80 any suggestions this time of year?

Rt 80 or I-80?
If you like paying tolls, then going across Ohio and Indiana on I-80 should be fun. It is also I-90 and it's tolls the whole way. Going around Chicago can be a pain. Other than that, it's a big beautiful country out that way and west. Wave at my relatives as you pass Princeton, Illinois.
