Denver to Moab - stop over

Greetings All

We are leaving out in late March for a trip to Moab. We'll leave Denver after work at 5:30 ish and plan on spending the night on a brief stop over. Any suggestions on a place to spend the night between Denver and Grand Junction??? We're thinking Island Acres State Park, but open to some ideas.

If road conditions in the mountains are a mess, that will cause our plans to shift.

Island Acres is a great place to park it for the night. We've stayed there twice, and will be back again this year.
