Favorites for Glacier National Park, MT

Thanks for the updates everyone.
We are heading out a week later than scheduled (2nd week of August)
Plan on staying one night at Glendoe Reservoir State Park (WY), and one night somewhere up past Billings MT (anyone know of any camgrounds up that way?)
Talked to the ranger station at Two Medicine CG, and she said to plan on being there before noon to secure a good camp sitte (should be there around Aug13)
I have documented all of your suggestions (along with suggestions from RV Net forum)
I am now planning 3 extra days at GNP because of all the great suggestions!

Don't know where you are staying at Glendo, but it is completely full and the state park camp grounds are non-existant. Don't know what there is for private campgrounds there. Last time up there (many years ago) the charged people from Colorado an extra $6.00 at the state parks. Wayne

Yes Wayne,
I did call up to Glendoe ranger station. He suggested staying at Two Moon cg, and yes they do charge EXTRA for out of state guests. (just does not make sense when all State Park programs are in financial trouble) You would think there would be at least senior discounts, but none for ANY out of state guests. He said the water was high, but 2 moon was good access and great views of the lake. I think the fee was $23/night for out of state. We will check it out, and may just boondock somewhere else. I will post pictures from time to time on our trip.
