For the Cody Wy visitors
There has been a new geothermal vent appear in the Shoshone river on the west end of Cody Wy. This is right down behind River View RV park.
Geology is a verb in Wyoming: a new geothermal vent appeared over the weekend in the middle of the river behind Cody's West Strip. It's putting out a sulfurous plume that has a strong odor , clouding the river for at least 1/4 mile downstream.
Maybe Colter's Hell is waking up ....it's only a half mile west , and Sulphur Creek is a half mile east.
