We live 25 miles from Glacier NP. "Going to the Sun", Logan pass won't be open. Facilities will be open in the lower parts of the park and many trails will be open. If you plan on hiking this time of year(or any time) in Glacier carry some good bear spray. I don't know how much time you have. I would recommend you go to West Glacier, several campgrounds, RV parks there, visit Lake MacDonald, Apgar Village, drive up toward Logan pass as far as you can. One nice hike is into Avalanche Lake, beautiful. Then after a couple of days, drive east around to East Glacier and go to St. Marys, Many Glacier area. Less snow on the east side, many trails in this area and after a couple of days here head to South Dakota. Don't forget Custer Battlefield on your way to South Dakota.
Safe Travels.
