Headwaters at Flagg Ranch, Wyoming

We are looking for insights into the Headwaters at Flagg Ranch Wyoming RV Campground. Does anyone have any experiences to share? We want to base camp here for Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. Unfortunately started late in our planning this season and not a lot to choose from now. I do like the trees and the feeling of being more out in the forest and not in town.

I'm guessing you have already checked Colter Bay RV Park (full hookups) inside Teton NP. The nearest town is over 20 miles away (south to Jackson). We have never boondocked if that's what you're looking for. Someone else will chime in for sure. Good luck.

It has been almost 5 years (2010) since we stayed at Flagg Ranch. Back then it was operated under different management. When we were there we did have full hookups but 20 amp service was the only electric service each site had. I understand since then many, if not all, of the sites have had the electric upgraded. There are plenty of pine trees at Flagg Ranch and you will have the feeling of camping in a forest. It is in a good location for exploring the southern part of Yellowstone and the northern part of the Tetons. The reason we stayed at Flagg Ranch was, like you, we had waited too long to get reservations in either park. Here are a few pics of Flagg Ranch.
