I-10 shut down in Arizona

FYI anyone planning on going I-10 thru southern Az/Nm there is a nasty dust problem around the San Simon Az area so they are rerouting traffic onto hwy 191 and 70 going thru Safford.

That was Thursday and now today they closed it again. Usually the winds are the worst from 10am to 6pm down here so they are running patrols and ADOT crews are on hand to change the traffic flow at MP352 EB. NMDOT is doing the same in Lordsburg. I retired from ADOT last fall and been talking to a friend of mine who is working this mess.

On Friday, winds will be stronger in southeastern Arizona, and the Department of Public Safety has warned I-10 may close again.
