The Walmart Gas Station at Exit 215 has the lowest priced diesel just about anywhere in the country. Hard to get into it but worth the effort.

We stayed at that KOA 2 years ago.

Love it at the Gorge, but that I80 run can be a hassle with the wind and the trucks. We go 40 through Vernal at times but lots of big hills that way, kind of a dammed if you do situation. Also 40 is a lot of 2 lane. Travel early to avoid the wind. Good luck.

Yeah, I've gone that way, too, as we come here every year -- but this was the first time while pulling a TT. It's just so much longer going through Vernal.

80 wasn't the problem this weekend for it was mostly a welcome tailwind and the trucks weren't a problem, but the crosswind southbound on US-191 was pure hell. Looks like we'll have a lighter headwind heading home 0n 80 this afternoon.

Roger that. We went through last week on the way to AK and literally were nearly blown off the road. Winds were already stiff, but a big aggressive gust suddenly hit us. I believe it also snuffed the pilot on our fridge, we had to relight it afterward.

We stayed at the Rawlins KOA on Jun 12th after being virtually blown off the highway just south of Saratoga Springs (discretion being the better course of action than trying to proceed in those conditions). Several semis were actually blown over between there and Laramie that same day. I had brake system warnings on the dash that went away after shutting down and restarting. The next day we passed a truck that threw rocks which cracked the windshield and shattered the flush mount window just above the driver's door. Wyoming is pretty country, but hard to deal with in the wind.....

Wind doesn't really blow in Wyoming. It's just that Nebraska sucks

Sorry, have a lot of friends from Neb. This is their favorite joke, really....
