Going to Craters on the moon this summer. Any advise how many days is adequate and where to stay? Thanks

Can't remember where we stayed but our visit to COTM was amazing-----other worldly memorable like the bubbling pools of Yellowstone but totally different.

In 2014 we stayed in Arco Idaho while visiting Craters. Spent 3 days there with 2 at the park. If you plan to hike down into the lava tubes make sure you bring good flashlights. You will feel like you are on the lava fields of Hawaii.

Also go to the first nuclear breeder reactor about 20 miles away. Very fascinating and informative. My grandson really loved this place.
