We usually stay at the Oasis, clean and safe with an awesome pool. The Strip is close by and you can Uber to downtown to the Fremont Street Experience. I like to go grab a beer and sit and watch the craziness go on around me, you'll pretty much see it all down there.

Sam's Town on the East side of town is where we stay when passing through. Far enough from the "Strip" to be quiet, nice amenities, and good prices. Casino right next door. We rarely stay more than a night or two, since we are usually on our way to Zion or other NP's in Utah.

While there, be sure to visit Red Rock Canyon National Monument a few miles west of town. Easy drive, and a fantastic display of natural seismic activity that causes ancient rock layers to be thrust over on top of lower layers!!

Just a suggestion is Mesquite. Not to far from Vegas and quiet. Check it out.

Thanks. I like the idea of Sam's Town, and Pahrump.
I have stayed in Mesquite plenty of times on work related trips. An interesting place.
Red Rock and Valley of Fire SP are the two main reasons I like Las Vegas.
That and the great restaurants.

Sam's Town KOA worked fine for us for 3 days. Full hook up and pull through. I'd stay there again.

Oasis

We always stay at The oasis, great pool, easy access off the freeway $ 20 a nite if you belong to passport America which is cheap. We just stay one nite as itís just the right drive from home on our way north

Another vote for Oasis (https://www.oasislasvegasrvresort.com/) Nice spaces with plenty of room, variety of very reasonable rates, and maybe most important, they treat people good.
