lSeward Alaska Military Resort

Cheryl and I have been parked here in Seward for four nights now, heading out to Homer later today. Been very nice here, the Resort is very nice with lots of activities, good facilities, especially the laundry. If any x-military gets an chance and can stay here, it is worth the hassle to get in.

Great!! We were stationed at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage from 90-95 and can't wait to take our RV back up the Alcan to visit. (I also worked a year at Fort Greely which is near Delta Junction in 2008...witnessed -57 that winter!!!)

Will have to add that to the bucket list. Alaska is #1 on my list, but only about #5 on DH's.

Would suggest that you take two spare tires for your coach as we had two tire failures due to the crappe roads we encountered there..never again will I ever drive that gravel highway ever again...Wiped out some things on the coach that required 2800 bucks worth of shop time along the way. Anything past Fort Nelson, be careful..

Yep, we've driven the Alcan twice but never towing anything...definitely not for the faint-of-heart and not anywhere you need to get mechanical help.

My main show-stopper would be the price of gas along the way...man, I don't know how those big Class-A's can afford to fill up!!!
