Mesa AZ Campgrounds

I've been looking for a campground in Mesa AZ for a one month stay next February. Seems like all the campgrounds are more like Park Model housing developments. Anyone have info on a more "traditional" campground. The reason I said in Mesa was that we have friends that winter at Monte Vista. We have a Grey Wolf 28DBH travel trailer.

Mesa,az campgrounds

There are 2 campgrounds in Apache Junction,Az. A KOA and a Budget RV in addition to the county park Usery Mountain and a State Park Lost Dutchman. These seem to be the nearest to Mesa,Az. Happy Camping ''Snowbird''.

yes mesa has thousands of spaces in parks with all kinds of permanent structures. there is a rv only park a few miles north of mesa called eagle view rv park. is is off hwy 87 at the fort McDowell casino. it is out in the country with nothing around it.

We always stay at Val Vista in Casa Grande when we snowbird in the Phoenix area. But we have friends from Colorado who own a park model (yes, there are a lot of them and every "resort" is getting more of them every year!) at the Val Vista Resort in Mesa. It has nearly 1600 spaces, so it is so big that many people keep golf carts or bicycles there just to get to the swimming pool. But they are very nice parks for a stay of a month or more.
