Currently at Bryce Canyon and will be heading to arches and canyonlands later this week. Any suggested campgrounds in that area.

Not sure about the campgrounds but we were there in Sept . ( not camping ) . The Arches are great and so is Canyon Land . Bring good walking shoes and plenty of water . Enjoy the trip .

Devils garden in arches is beautiful and central to many sites in arches. It is dry camp so fill you fresh tank and dump black and grey before you go in. Maverick gas station at the south end of Moab has free dump and fill if you need it.

If you are into dry camping, there's are lots of BLM areas to consider.

Google Moab BLM as a starting point.

There is also a state park campground at Dead Horse Point state park, near the entrance to Canyonlands, Island in the Sky district.

There are plenty of private campgrounds near the entrance to Arches, or throughout and south of town.

If not, we stayed at Archview campground and loved it.

There is a KOA in Moab that used to be pretty good.

Make sure you spend some time at Dead Horse State Park. It is right on the road to Canyonlands and well worth the time. We did the the 4 mile rim hike and went out to most of the view points so was 5.5 miles. Every bit as good or better than Canyonlands. I think it was $10.00 entry fee per vehicle.

Another thing we did that was GREAT was download the Moab-Canyonlands GyPSy Guide app on our phone. Well worth the $3.99. You can also get a package for a few more $$ that includes Arches. Arches has it own CD driving tour you can rent for $5.00 at the visitor center but I think the app would be better. You get a lot of facts on the history of the area. If you are good hikers go up to Delicate Arch in Arches.

As far as a campground we stayed at Spanish Trails, it was just ok and expensive so wont recommend them unless a last resort. (no pun intended)
We did Canyon de Chilly, Arches, Dead Horse State Park, Canyonlands, Natural bridges and Monument Valley in 9 days. Had a guest so limited for time. Was busy every day but a wonderful trip.

Nice Moab Tale.....

Not only dry camping, but if possible, rent a jeep and get out into the wild country. Need to see places only a 4x4 will take you too.

There are some excellent spots along the river, just north of Moab on Rt 128. They are run by BLM and I am not sure if they can be reserved or if they are first come first serve. Check the Recreation.gov site.

Only Moab BLM campgrounds that can be reserved are group sites. Used to be only through the Moab BLM office; however, now it is via recreation.gov. All single sites are first come/first serve.
