(yes, thought I posted that, above..)

the train trip up and back is really nothing - not a lot of good scenery (compared to the Durango/Silverton narrow gage) and they have beggars on the train - going up a fellow plays the guitar and sings then passes his hat for "donations" ! coming back the train is stopped by robbers on horseback who climb aboard and stick a gun in your face 'till you give 'em money !.....I thought the whole thing was low-life and I wrote and complained about it.

but, it was nice to leave the Roadtrek at the RV park and not have to fight the traffic at the Canyon (the kennel was also nice)

I believe the train offers multiple nights at the Canyon (to do the Mule thing, or whatever).....Bill

If you have time you can check out Sedona AZ which is a beautiful place. A minnie Grand Canyon area. You can also join us in Tucson AZ for the FROG Rally starting on the 26th at LazyDays RV Campground.

Painted Desert, Petrified Forest, Meteor Crater and Walnut Canyon National Monument off I-40 in the Winslow, AZ area are nice short excursions. Three of them are free admission if you have a National Parks Sr. pass.
