Some hints if you visit Yellowstone NP.
Visit the geyser basins in the afternoon when the air temperature is warmer. On a cool morning the pools and geysers produce a lot of steam making viewing less than ideal. Use the morning to see the animals, visit waterfalls, or go hiking.

Speaking of hiking, there are quite a few short hikes you can take that will get away from the crowds and allow you to enjoy the beauty of nature.
On a hike to Mystic Falls.
Expect to find yourself in a traffic jam caused by animals. Just relax and have your spouse ready with the camera so you can take a photo of the animals that are causing the jam. Itís going to happen, and probably more than once.
Plan to eat lunch and dinner in the park. There are restaurants in the park or you can pack a lunch and dinner in a cooler. Some days we would eat at restaurants and other days we would pack a lunch and dinner to enjoy at one of the many picnic areas.
Yeah yeah I know, donít feed the animals. I just canít say no to cute little beggars.
