There are lots of good, privately owned RV parks around Pagosa Springs. Just go to "http://www.campgroundreviews.com/regions/colorado/pagosa-springs" and pick one that sounds right for you. Personally, we stay in some of the beautiful Forest Service campgrounds in that area and don't bother with hookups. Or we stay further south at Navajo Lake State Park, either the Colorado one or the cheaper New Mexico one with electricity. But we know that not everyone wants that.
Depending on what you want to do or see in that area, another alternative is the Ute-owned Lake Capote campground at the intersection of US 160 and CO 151. That puts you across the road from the new Chimney Rock National Monument, which makes an early morning or nighttime tour of the monument really easy.
