We winter out of Canada in the Needles area. If you " stop and smell the roses " there is lots to see and do. Off the freeway all you will see is scrubby desert. In other notes, someone mentioned Oatman , this is an unique stop if you have time. Have a great trip.

Surely stop off at Williams, just west of Flagstaff...Neat restored rt 66 town...

Going to Williams on Friday from So Cal. There is an RV park at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel. We are taking the train to the South Rim on Saturday. They also do a Polar Express train at night for the kids - did that last year and the kids loved it.

Aw...you are going to miss the x-mas lighting of the town. It's on Thursday night. Kinda fun for a small town

ttincali, the Grand Canyon RV Park you speak of is great, and it honors Passport America, half off. Yoo Hoo! Stayed there 5 nites there this year and saved $100.00! Paid for PPA several times over.
