We are planning a trip to Ruidoso in June. Any tips on R.V. parks, things to do/see and good food places are welcome. Thanks.Click image for larger version

We stayed a couple of weeks at "Along the River RV Park" north of town (9 miles from city center) (www.alongtheriverrv.com). The owners, Barry & Donna, are very nice and accommodating. We enjoyed the Flying J Ranch (Chuck wagon suppers and western show -- Flying J Ranch – Chuckwagon Suppers & Western Show). We enjoyed the BBQ at Can't Stop Smoking BBQ. If I think of other things, I'll post again.

Haven't been through there in years, but I remember very narrow, twisty roads with lots of hills. The altitude wreaked havoc with my car's power, had to downshift to second sometimes just to clear a simple incline. A turbo-diesel is highly recommended.

We've visited the Ruidoso area many times. Planning on going back in June on our way to Pagosa Springs - Bruce Spruce RV park. Usually stay at the Circle B RV Park in Ruidoso. No problems pulling my rig with my 2014 Ram Hemi in the area.
