San Fransisco Cali

My wife is a travel RN and might take a contract in downtown San Fran. I looked at a lot of campgrounds south of San Fran about 20 miles for our 40ft 2017 Sandpiper 5er, and being a newbie I was wondering if anyone had any experiences/suggestions in that area. We would need a site for an initial 2 months, but could turn into 7 months max.

You won't have much to choose from.
What ones have you found?
There's very few campgrounds within a 20 mile radius of SF.

You may have better luck looking in the east bay or diablo valley in the Martinez Concord area which is an easy commute to SF. Oh wait no commute is easy to SF

Let's see...SF RV resort is what the lady on the phone called an "urban" RV campground (basically a parking lot with hookups) same with Candlestick, but they are tearing down the stadium right next door now. Treasure Island has way too many bad reviews about management.

So I then looked south. I called Half moon bay and I am on a waiting list (months) and I am going to call Trailer Villa today located in Redwood. These are 45 min commutes for my wife.

I then looked north, but the closest ones are an hour away in Napa Vally,.

You don't want to be out in the candlestick area if you value your equipment or life. Good luck with 45 min from Half Moon bay. Redwood city is a good area any commute up that side of the bay is tough. It also depends on where in SF she will be working.

Try Trailer Villa in Redwood City.
650) 366-7880
We have stayed there a few times. It is ok with pull through, 50A sites. It is safe, expensive ($90.) and certainly not pretty, but they have a nice laundry facility and it is quiet.

And the commuter train is close by, so that might work for you, rather than fighting the SF area traffic.

Lots of asphalt, not much grass. But it is right on the SF Bay so you may not need to use your A/C.
