Solano Regional County Park, Winters, California

We spent 3 weeks at this beautiful park. Peacocks roamed freely and seemed pretty friendly. Lots of trees and fairly level ground for the RV'S. Rates are reasonable! There's a 2 week limit per stay, my husband spent 6 days in the hospital (unexpected stay) and the park ranger told me not too worry about leaving...she said as long as we were there they were our family!
The park GIfTED us the last week during my husbands recovery.
Quiet, wild life, almost paradise! Poor cell reception as it is nestled between foothills, but that can be a good thing! Fishing and kayaking on Putah Creek which runs along the campground.
Minutes away from town (Winters) where cell service was great.
A nice place to stay if you want to visit Napa Valley.

you're talking about Lake Solano Park, one of Solano County's Regional Parks. but that's a bit of a drive if you're planning on visiting Napa Valley, at least an hour just to get to the south end of the Valley.

there's a number of better/closer choices.
there are two great places in Napa, Napa Valley Expo, which is very close to downtown Napa and Skyline Park, nestled next to the east side of the valley hills, inside a county park with trails.
staying here makes the entire valley within a max of a 20 mile drive.

but that is great how you and your husband were treated. NorCal people are very nice people.

I should have included that it was a bit of a drive to Napa; we loved the scenery to and from Napa! We stayed in Winters because of my husband's 50 year football reunion as an Aggie. If one is going only to tour Napa your choices for camping would be much better! Loved that area, the agriculture is amazing! We spent 10 days at Fort Bragg after leaving Winters. WOW! The northern coastline blew me away and the Redwoods were magnificent. People at Fort Bragg were very friendly too. Stayed at Pomo Campground. Another great campground! If anyone happens to be in Fort Bragg eat at The BBQ Joint.
