To Albuquerque

Traveling from Lake Charles LA to Albuquerque the end of the week, how is the route- 10 to 45 North and then 287 to Amarillo and 40. Main concern, 287 thru Fort Worth.

If you don't like RT 287 in or near Ft. Worth, you could stay on IH 10 until you hit IH 25 In NM and then go north to Albuquerque. There are also lots of trucks on RT 287.
If there is any chance of bad weather, snow, I would stay on IH 10. Good Luck and have a great trip.

That sounds like a good idea. Thank you. I can make into Fort Stockton to fuel up and then right into Albuquerque.
