How big is your 5er? they take 45 foot tour busses on it. I have had a 30 foot pull trailer from Mexico to Canada on Hwy 1 and 101. They have opened a tunnell at the devils slide area. It a beautiful drive, If you are camping on the coast in a state park make reservations early. Bolsa Chica state park in hunnington beach is great.Right on the beach!

For camping reservations in California State Parks you have to book online at Campgrounds and Camping Reservations - ReserveAmerica. If you can get your itinerary figured out, the earlier the better for getting campsites, especially along the coast.

Maybe we'll cross paths! We are hoping to come to California, too!
